The KOS-A200 makes it possible to upgrade or add components to a vehicle's entertainment system without replacing OEM components. The Kenwood KOSA200 can be fully integrated with OEM radios that include RDS FM tuners allowing text to be displayed on the OEM radio (song titles, selected track, etc.) from devices connected through the USB or changer input. Even text information from the user interface can be displayed on the OEM stereo making search, switching and setup function simple for the user.
The KOSA200 allows multiple outboard devices to be seamlessly integrated with the vehicle's OEM system. Such devices could include disc changers, USB mass storage MP3 players, i-Pod players, DAB radio tuners, and even Kenwood's new Bluetooth adapter for hands-free cell phone integration.
Typically, vehicle owners are reluctant to replace or modify existing OEM systems because they are integrated into the vehicle's electrical system making upgrades very difficult and expensive. The KOS-A200 is the solution – it includes a USB input, two stereo Auxiliary analog inputs, a disc changer input, and IR eye input for the remote control, and is iPod ready when the optional KCA-IP500 iPod interface is connected via the changer input. The unit is powered with a 12-volt input. It is easy to install, small enough to be concealed, and includes a remote control with IR eye for simple operation.
