all of our server range. This means you have the freedom to choose
the OS you are most comfortable with. We will install and configure
the operating system of your choice as part of the service. If you
have any special requirements we will do our best to cater for these
too.

Not ready for 2003? A Windows2000 server
provides an extensive range of features. IIS5 and supporting
software is installed so you can run ASP, CGI's and PHP with
ODBC or ADO connections, Access or mySQL databases. The .net
framework is included. |

Our preferred flavour is RedHat Linux.
The Apache webserver is configured to run CGI's and PHP with
mySQL for database work. DNS, email, firewalling are all included
in a base install (version 8.0 at time of writing). |

server requires more CPU and RAM than an equivalent UNIX system
supporting the same number of sites.
