Our Impressive Facilities

We host all of our equipment in Telehouse, Docklands. This is the premium location in the UK as it is the home of the LINX exchange which handles some 96% of all UK traffic. All of the major players have a presence in Telehouse, all the top 20 positions in the webperf chart will be taken by Telehouse housed companies.

Telehouse boasts an impressive list of features, including :

  • Dry Fill Sprinkler System
  • Proximity Card Reader Access Control
  • Video Surveillance
  • 3 separate National Power Grid Feeds
  • Climate Control Systems
  • Multiple UPS Systems
  • Backup Power Generators

Our core network is of the highest quality as a result of using tried and tested components. We use only CISCO network hardware throughout and all of our enterprise series switches are interlinked via 1Gb fibre.

Titan Internet is unique in that we run a private LAN as well as the public (internet) network. This is so that sensitive data such as backups to NAS (Network Attached Storage) can be transferred discretely. Also it means that where possible traffic is routed privately (DNS, SMTP, SQL, Backups) and does not collide with the internet traffic, increasing performance and quality. Our private LAN is carried over 1Gb fibre too.

Our high speed network is connected via 155Mb/s STM1 links to major Internet exchanges in London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt with further connections in Paris and Brussels planned for the third quarter of 2002.

Global transit is provided by both Level3 and Telia at 100Mb/s

The main routers are CISCO 7500 Series (RSP4, 256MB RAM) with secondaries provided by CISCO 3660 series (128MB RAM)

CISCO HSRP is implemented so in the event of a router failure the network traffic is automatically redirected.
