Clarion PAC250

This FM modulator package from Clarion allows you to connect a 6-disc CD changer to any FM radio. The PAC250 gives you a wired LCD display/control unit, an 8-button wireless remote control, an FM modulator module, and a 6-disc CD changer.

With the wired remote/display, you may select from 12 different modulation frequencies for the best possible reception. You can also select the "Normal" setting which provides typical FM frequency response or the "High" setting which extends high-frequency response for better sound quality.

The PAC250 allows you to choose from four output settings, allowing you to match the CD volume level with that of your FM radio. The remote allows you to choose disc (up/down), track (up/down), scan (single disc or all discs), random play (single disc or all discs), and repeat play (single track or single disc).

Add-on FM CD Changers also known as (universal or RF) are ideal if you wish to keep your existing car radio and add a CD changer if:

1) Your radio does not have CD changer control
2) There are no changer options for your factory fitted radio
3) You are driving a leased car or classic
4) Your CD changer port is being used by another device

With an Add-on FM CD Changer Package, you can get terrific-sounding results playing CDs through your existing FM radio on an unused radio frequency that you store on a preset radio button of your choice (for example preset button Number 6). And if your car radio has steering wheel remote controls and/or dash display these will remain fully functional.


Installation:
Add-on FM CD Changer installation is generally far easier than you would expect. Clarion Add-on FM changers can mount in the boot, glove box, or even under a seat and offer multi-angle mounting for installation flexibility. (Compare this CD changers dimensions with your available space)

FM changers work through your existing FM radio. You connect the included FM modulator unit in-line with the aerial lead (by push-fit ) at the rear of your radio.

As with any CD changer, connection is via the included 5M robust data lead by push-fit connection. But instead of connecting it to the rear of the radio, this lead connects to the included small Clarion FM control unit that is powered by 3 wires (earth, 12v & 12v switched). Once connected this small control unit and CD lead are simply tucked under your interior plastic trim out of site.

The included remote display lets you control the changer from a convenient spot on or under your dash, and comes with a kit for permanent installations.

The CD changer is mounted using the included brackets and screws, or for easy installation FREE Adhesive Velcro is available if required (request this via email after ordering). Full installation instructions are supplied with each changer. Modern suspension technology allows skip free play-back from your home burned CD-Rs and CD-RWs as well as original CDs.

Average installation time by our customers is between 30 to 60 minutes enabling any basic DIYer to install this product comfortably giving you endless hours of music in under an hour.
