Stylish In-Dash CD/MP3 player with RDS radio exclusively by brand leader VDO. The CD783MP3 is taken from a new generation of Vauxhall compatible radios that will connect directly to all Vauxhall vehicles and Vauxhall models that have steering wheel controls and remote dash display fitted as standard.
The VDO CD783MP3 enables a seamless push-fit connection with Vauxhall vehicles and can be used in 2 ways. If your Vauxhall model does not have steering wheel remote control and/or dash display, once connected you will use the radios display like you would with any in-dash MP3 player, but in order to retain your Vauxhall display and steering wheel controls, in addition to using the VDO MP3 player display you will need one of two accessory leads (AC7804 or AC7805) depending on your Vauxhall model.
After ordering, if you send us an email to let us know what Vauxhall model you have and its year of manufacture, we can then send you the appropriate lead with your package.
*You will also receive an ISO extension lead with your package. This simply extends your Vauxhall radio wiring harness making your installation even easier. See Install & Technical below for more details...

Installing your new Vauxhall VDO CD783MP3 MP3/CD Player is straight forward as it comes with Vauxhall compatible connections that enable a seamless push-fit connection onto your existing radio wiring harness. Using this radio cassette player will NOT invalidate your cars warranty.
*If you are using the (AC7804 or AC7805) Vauxhall accessory leads you will need to hard wire (solder to your existing Vauxhall radio harness) the fly-leads that are part of these accessory leads. The black wire connects to an earth/ground wire or to your car chassis and the purple wire connects to a (select) wire on your Vauxhall radio harness connector block (dependent on model). We have this information to help you with installation.
Installation Tips: To remove your factory fitted Vauxhall radio you will need DIN radio keys as found in the Radio Removal Tools section of this website. In order to insert the radio keys into the 4 holes found at either side of your radio fascia, you may need to remove 4 small Allen studs (where fitted) using a (2mm or 5/64") Allen Key. I believe the Allen studs are simply a security measure.
When you insert the removal keys listen for them clicking into position, then push them outwards slightly away form the radio and ease the radio out. You will now see that the radio sleeve or (cage) stays in position with the wiring and aerial connectors remaining fixed in the sleeve.
Installation is now completed by pushing your Vauxhall CD783MP3 into the radio sleeve, lining up the connections until the CD player clicks into positon. Now tune in your radio stations ensuring a strong signal. This will depend on the radio connectors lining up and the radio being pushed all of the way in to make a solid connection.
The latest VDO range of Vauxhall car MP3/CD players feature cutting edge technology giving you responsive, skip free play-back from your home burned CD-Rs and CD-RWs as well as your original CDs.
Average installation time by our customers is 15 to 45 minutes enabling any basic DIYer to install this product comfortably giving you endless hours of music at your fingertips.
Professional Installation: If like a number of our clients, you would prefer a professional installer to complete the installation for you, I would recommend you look up the (Car Electrics & Car Audio) categories in your local Yellow Pages or visit Yell.com to find an installer in your area.
