To mount the S4 or S3 using the suction cup bracket, simply slide the bracket
in to the slot on the back of the unit. Next position the unit and suction cup
bracket on to the windscreen, ensuring that the unit has a clear view of the sky
but also ensure that it is in a position that will enable you to connect it the
cigarette lighter socket. To ensure that the suction cup bracket attaches to the
windscreen securely, please clean the glass first with a good quality glasss
cleaner.
When positioning the unit remember that you need to be able to see the display
on the front of the unit without having to take your eyes too far from the road
when you are driving. Finally ensure that once positioned the unit or power
cable does not interfere with any of the vehicles controls and that it is not in
a position that may cause injury to the driver or passengers.
Mounting the unit with the velcro pad provided is as equally easy. Again find a
position where the unit can clearly see the sky and so that you can easily view
the units display. Next clean both the underside of the unit and the area of the
dashboard where you intend to mount your unit with a damp cloth.
With the sides of the velcro pad still fastened together remove the backing from
the soft, loop side of the pad and attach it to the underside of the unit.
Finally remove the backing from the hook side of the velcro pad and position the
unit on the dashboard. Where possible try not to disturb the velcro pad for
12-24hrs so that it will adhere securely to both the unit and dashboard.
Once you have positioned your S4 or S3, simply connect the power cable to the
socket marked DC 12V on the rear of the unit and plug the other end in to your
vehicles cigarette lighter socket. Please note that you should not start your
vehicle with the unit plugged into the cigarette lighter socket as it may cause
damage to the unit.
