Create and maintain your products and control how they are displayed
on the site. There are also some sophisticated advanced features for placing drop down search boxes on your site and
creating components and attributes.
Set Up Catalog: The most important area in Evolve. From this area you can quickly and easily
manage your portfolio of products, sub-categories and categories. Design your pages for each product
and set prices, descriptions, part numbers, stock and order levels.
Product Layout:
Evolve gives you a range of options as to how your visitors navigate around your site.
This section controls these options. In addition in this area you will be able to control the layout
and look and feel of the product information displayed on your site.
Site Pages: This area
allows you to create and modify additional pages on your web-site
such as your Home Page. You can create as many site pages as you wish and
design them at will using HTML.
There are also some very powerful Advanced features:
Search Boxes and Product Values: This feature allows you to place drop-down search boxes on your
category, subcategory and product pages, providing alternative navigation to your products. You can also
use this feature to assign additional product information to each product and place it on your product page.
Components & Attributes: Attributes allow you to associate product line variants such as size or colour
with a product. Components allows customers to customize their own product, building up components
from choices which the trader sets up using Evolve. For example build your own PC.
Also use this feature to sell product bundles and other complementary products.
And remember to:
Implement Changes: Any changes made to category pages, product pages, search parametrics or components and attributes
will not appear on your web-site until you click Implement Changes. If you have a large catalogue and have
just uploaded it, this could take a while.
